The Life of Lieutenant-General Sir John Moore, K.B.

MOORE, James Carrick

Regular price $500.00 Sale

James Moore inherited the property of Robert Carrick, a Glasgow banker, and adopted the latter's surname to conform to the will. As a doctor he was a strong advocate for vaccination against smallpox and, as such, a great supporter of Edward Jenner. He is best remembered today, however, as the biographer of his famous brother John.
