Amos n' Andy was a radio serial that aired in the United States beginning in 1928, finishing as a television show that ran until 1960. It follows 2 African Americans living in Harlem, New York. Originally voiced by white actors who had previously performed in blackface for minstrels, CBS hired black actors to play the roles when the series moved to television. This map is a collectable that would have been published in support of the original radio program and reflects many of the stereotypes of African Americans that dominated 1930s American popular culture.
